Roksana Kwaśnikowska

 

Is currently a student in the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and studying under the direction of Professor Jan Stanienda. In addition, she actively participates in courses, master classes and violin workshops taught by noted music teachers and performers. She is a laureate and a prize winner in national and international violin competitions, among the others:

 

11th Michał Spisak International Music Competition in Dąbrowa Górnicza, 5th Beethoven’s Hradec International Music Competition, 2nd International Beethoven Chamber Music Competition in Lusławice, 2nd Oleh Krysa International Violin Competition in Lviv, 4th International Violin Competition “Ernst & Szymanowski” in Wrocław, 5th International “Tadeusz Wronski” Competition for solo violin in Warsaw, Violin Competition “Eugenia Umińska” in Cracow, International Talent Competition and International Competition of Romantic Music in New York, International Competition for Young Musicians “Petar Konjovic” in Belgrade, International Paul Hindemith Competition in Berlin and International Kocian Violin Competition in Usti Nad Orlici.

 

She performed as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the Koszalin Philharmonic, Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra, Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Opera and Philharmonic in Białystok, The Wratislavia Chamber Orchestra, “The Crew” Chamber Orchestra and with the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra. She performed in many marvelous concert halls, for example the Royal Castle in Warsaw, General Consulate in New York and Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall. She participated in prestigious master classes “Morningside Music Bridge” in Calgary, “International Summer Academy of the mdw” and International Summer Academy Cervo. She performed as a soloist at the Festival “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart” in Kolobrzeg, at the festival “Chopiniana” and also during “Kyoto International Music Students Festival 2015” in Japan. She was awarded a grant by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage “Young Poland”, in February 2012 and also in April 2016. Besides being a soloist, she is active as a chamber musician. From 2013 she has been a member of “Chopin Piano Quintet”. In addition she likes to play in the orchestra. She loves to perform on stage. Music is her passion and she just wants to share happiness and other emotions with the audience. During the concerts her deepest desire is to touch people by her playing.
